The 'Guerreras' will face the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and Argentina in the Pre-Olympic

The Spanish women's handball team will face the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and Argentina, exactly the same rivals with whom it played in the second phase of the World Cup, in search of a ticket for the Paris 2024 Games in the Pre-Olympic, which will be held from April 11 to 14 at a venue yet to be determined.

The 'Warriors' said goodbye to the World Championship in Denmark, Norway and Sweden recently after losing in the last match of the second phase against the Dutch (29-21), who advanced to the quarterfinals. Previously, they beat the Argentine team (30-23) and fell to the Czechs (30-22).

Spain aspires to organize its Pre-Olympic, where two places are distributed for Paris, after already doing so in 2021 in the Valencian town of Llíria; In that event, the Spanish women got their ticket to the Tokyo Games. The Royal Spanish Handball Federation (RFEBM) has already presented its candidacy to the International Handball Federation (IHF).

In the other two pre-Olympics, which will distribute two places each, Sweden, Hungary, Cameroon and Japan will compete; and Germany, Montenegro, Slovenia and Paraguay. They have already guaranteed their presence at the France Games, as organizer; Norway, as a World Cup finalist alongside the French; Denmark, as European champion; Brazil, as Pan American champion; Angola, as African champion; and South Korea, as Asian champion.
