The F League referees continue their VAR training after achieving FIFA certification

MADRID, 6 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The F League referee team continues its training to be in charge of the VAR after achieving the certification granted by FIFA at the end of last season, as reported this Monday by the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).

The organization indicated that the referees have received this document “after completing a learning period that included a theoretical part and a practical part both ‘off line’ and on the field of play” and that thanks to it, the international Spanish referees can referee any continental competition that already has VAR, as was the case with Marta Huerta both in the last World Cup held in Australia and New Zealand or in the last European Championship in England.

Now, the referees, starting this past weekend and during each day, will follow the LaLiga EA Sports and LaLiga Hypermotion matches that have video refereeing technology from the Las Rozas Football City facilities.

“In this way they will continue working in the VAR environment to be prepared for when women’s national competitions include it, as was the case with the last Queen’s Cup final organized by the RFEF,” the federation recalled.
