The CSD gets ‘wet’ this Thursday on the LaLiga agreement with CVC

This Thursday will be key for the General Assembly next Friday, in which the LaLiga agreement with the CVC investment fund will be voted. Because, as you may have learned Sports world, will be tomorrow when The Higher Sports Council (CSD) will announce its legal position with respect to the current situation.

This positioning responds to the request by the driving clubs of the ‘Solidarity Project’ (Real Madrid, Barcelona, Athletic Club de Bilbao), as well as the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) so that the sports body of the state is positioned in this regard or enters to analyze the situation.

As this newspaper has learned, The CSD will only announce its legal position and in no case does it plan to position itself on the existing majorities within the LaLiga Assembly regarding the endorsement of the agreement with CVC.

It will be tomorrow morning when the CSD meets to study what legal opinion they adopt. According to Cadena SER, one possibility is to postpone the General Assembly scheduled for next Friday and where it is planned to vote if the agreement with the CVC investment fund and its loan of 2,000 million euros finally goes ahead.

As MD has learned, in LaLiga they are calm because for weeks, and even months, the CSD has had perfect knowledge of the operation and in all this time it has not said anything about it. That is why they discard any position contrary to the celebration of the Assembly on Friday.
