The CSD calls for aid to federations for the ‘Women and Sports’ and ‘Inclusive Sports’ programs

The Higher Sports Council (CSD) has opened this Monday the term for the call for aid to Spanish sports federations for the realization of the ‘Woman and Sport’ program and for ‘Inclusive Sport’ projects in the year 2023.

The amount of these grants, charged to the General State Budget, amounts to 1,800,000 euros for the ‘Women and Sport’ program and 750,000 euros for ‘Inclusive Sport’ projects.

The purpose of these aids, in the case of the ‘Mujer y Deporte’ programme, is “the promotion and dissemination of women in sport, training, transfers of technicians, judges and federation personnel, preparation of Equality Plans and hiring of women “.

For its part, the aid for inclusive sports projects will cover aspects such as the integration processes of sport for people with disabilities in the federation; training; organization of competitions that favor inclusion and integration; the promotion and dissemination of sports for people with disabilities; the promotion of representatives with disabilities in the governing bodies of the Spanish and international Federations; recruitment; and sports development for people with disabilities, among others.

“Equality and inclusion are, without a doubt, the backbone of the sports policies of the Government of Spain, as is evident in the new Sports Law. In addition, aid such as the ones we announce today contribute to building a more fair and mature through sport”, indicated the president of the CSD, José Manuel Franco.
