Despite the contagions on the Adria Tour, a new tennis display appears on the horizon. This is “The Draftkings All-American Team Cup”, from July 3 to 5, in Atlanta, with the participation of the eight best American ATP players.
The announcement has been made by the American magazine Forbes, which indicates that there will be a maximum of 450 spectators per day, that is, 30 percent of the stadium's capacity to respect physical distance. All players will be examined upon arrival in Georgia, and the temperature taking will be daily, both for tennis players and for the staff.
The expected eight players are: John Isner (21 of the world), Taylor Fritz (24), Reilly Opelka (39), Sam Querrey (45), Tennys Sandgren (55), Tommy Paul (57), Steve Johnson (63) and Frances Tiafoe (81), who will compete in two groups of four.
“We have an opportunity to show the world that a live tennis event with fans can be a success,” said Eddie González, the tournament organizer. “We believe this is very important to the sport. This is the first live audience event in Georgia, the first amateur live tennis tournament in the United States and it is essential that it be successful because it will lay the foundation for the rest of the season, “he added.
