Ter Stegen renews with Barça until 2028

FC Barcelona has announced this Friday the agreement reached with the German goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen to extend his contract until June 2028, with an increase in his termination clause, which now stands at 500 million euros.

“FC Barcelona and the player Marc ter Stegen have reached an agreement to renew his contract until June 30, 2028. The termination clause is set at 500 million euros,” the Catalan club announced in an official statement.

Ter Stegen faces his tenth season this year with the culé team, which he joined in 2014 from Borussia Mönchengladbach. He has played 379 games with the Blaugrana shirt so far, placing himself as the goalkeeper with the fourth most games in the club’s history.

The German goalkeeper has achieved an enviable track record in those ten years with five Leagues, five Copas del Rey, one Champions League, three Spanish Super Cups, one European Super Cup and one Club World Cup.
