Tension on Dani Alves’ return to court to sign his freedom: “You are a fucking rapist!”

The footballer went to the Provincial Court of Barcelona this Thursday to sign after his provisional release last Monday. Walking calmly next to his lawyer, Inés Guardiolaand with your head held high, Dani Alves He has thus complied with one of the conditions imposed by the judge. It has certainly not been a pleasant moment: the tension has manifested itself through the shouts of people who rebuked the footballer: “You’re a fucking rapist!”has been heard.

Alves has remained calm and has taken the opportunity to send a message to all the media that covered this first outing. The Brazilian did not need words to defend, once again, his innocence, just a look chosen to the millimeter that follows the line of the one he already wore last Monday when he left prison. If on that occasion Alves (and his lawyers) opted for a white sweater with jeans for that first image of the prisoner after 430 days in prison, this time they have bet everything on a shirt and pants set in the tone of purity, transparency, the truth. As a complement, a brown cloth coat with a classic, pristine cut.

And it’s not the only detail. Alves has left his jewelry at home, the ones he used to wear in all his appearances off the football field: two diamond earrings and, sometimes, high-end bracelets and a watch. The only thing that the footballer maintains is your wedding ringblack and on the left ring finger, a direct message to Joana Sanz: He is still willing to get it back.

Let us remember that Alves is sentenced to four and a half years in prison for sexually assaulting a 23-year-old girl at the Sutton nightclub in Barcelona on December 30, 2022. He entered prison a month later and has remained in Brians II for 430 days of preventive detention, which will be deducted from his sentence. Last week he was granted provisional release pending the resolution of appeals against the sentence, which declared him guilty of rape. Among the conditions to maintain it is a bail of one million euros (which he deposited last Monday), the delivery of both passports, sign once a week in court y distance from his victim. For the moment, Alves has settled in the mansion of Splugues de Llobregat which he shared with his wife, Joana Sanz, who left the house when she was informed of the Brazilian’s arrival.
