Tenerife beat Girona 0-1 thanks to a solitary goal from Mario González in the first half. The people of Tenerife suffered greatly, but Míchel’s men did not hit the target in front of goal and with this defeat they are only one point away from leaving the playoff.
Girona-Tenerife, which could well be a semifinal match for the promotion playoff to be played in a few weeks, left no one indifferent and met expectations. Tete started strong and Enric had the first in the 4th minute, but the Catalan side took a step forward and had control of the match and the main dangerous actions. Baena, who wore his usual details, invented a personal action that forced Soriano to intervene twice to avoid the local goal after a first shot by Baena himself and another by Iván Martín.

The minutes passed and the team from Girona was not able to find Stuani’s shot or the goal and ended up paying for it. In minute 40, Mario González appeared inside the area to, after a false start by Juan Carlos, headed the ball into the back of the net.
The tension was palpable in the atmosphere and for González Esteban the game was great at times. Arnau Martínez, who once again gave a recital, had the first in the 50th minute, but Mellot appeared under the sticks to save the draw. Girona looked for him and tried anyway. Stuani had it in minute 77, but by millimeters the ball did not enter completely. The Frenchman, a right-winger for Tenerife, saved his team on three occasions.
