Tenerife knocks out Girona in the Heliodoro

Tenerife beat Girona 2-0 at Heliodoro Rodríguez López in a match that put Ramis's men very much in the face and in which Francisco's men were really bad. Bruno and Fran Sol were the authors of the goals for the Canaries, who catch air and will end the year out of relegation. The people of Girona, for their part, were surprised by their fragility, they cut their four-game streak without losing and move three points away from sixth place.

The locals, in the midst of a crisis, hit as soon as the game started. Bruno Wilson took advantage of a lateral free kick from Álex Muñoz in the 7th minute to head to the back of the net at the far post and put it 1-0 on the scoreboard. Girona had come out a little better, predisposed to take control of the ball, but despite dominating, they were unable to find precision and effectiveness from three quarters of the opponent's field.

Quite the opposite occurred in those of Ramis, who in the first minutes could barely link four consecutive passes, but who threatened to damage space as soon as they recovered. And so it was, a recovery and looking for speed at the top served for the Canaries to put the 2-0. Appeh and Shaq Moore did a good action on the right wing that finished with the center of the American who, first, Bermejo combed, so that Fran Sol in the second scored at pleasure.

In the resumption, the tone changed little. Tenerife did not need the ball to hurt Girona, the speed up was enough before the surprising fragility of Francisco's men, who had four consecutive games without conceding a goal. The minutes passed and none of the Catalan attackers was able to put light in the darkness. Samu, erratic and unhinged, ended up being substituted after losing 16 balls in sixty minutes, a figure that speaks for itself. Meanwhile, Fran Sol was able to make the third in a good counterattack from the locals, which Juan Carlos miraculously avoided under the sticks.

Without resources and only with heart, Girona tried, but without any success. Even the bad news increased with the expulsion of Nahuel Bustos, who ended up expelled, like Alberto, after a riot between the two.
