The Spotify platform will be the main sponsor of the ‘Barça Aademy PRO’ in the United States, for which some 1,200 players from the Barça academies in Miami and New York and from the residence in the North American country will wear the Swedish firm’s logo on the front of his shirt, according to a statement issued this Monday by the Catalan club.
“The second day of FC Barcelona’s tour of the United States has come accompanied by a long-awaited announcement by the Barça Academy project, since Spotify, which is the Club’s Main Partner, has also become the sponsor of the Barça shirts Academy PRO in the country, those located in Miami and New York, in addition to the Barça Residency Academy USA,” the entity reported.
The announcement was held at the Miami academy facilities, with the presence of the club’s Vice President of Commercial Area, Juli Guiu, Spotify’s Head Artist and Label Partnerships for Latam and US Latin, Michael Sánchez, and former Barça players Thierry Henry and Julian Belletti. Precisely, the headquarters of the ‘Barça Academy PRO Miami’ will soon host the welcome ceremony for Robert Lewandowski on the tour, the brand new signing of the Catalan team.
This agreement with Spotify comes after the Swedish company became the main sponsor of the club on July 1. The sponsorship will mean that some 1,200 players from the ‘Barça Academy PRO’ in Miami and New York and the ‘Barça Residency Academy USA’ wear the logo of the Swedish firm on the front of the shirt.
The agreement also provides for some of the Club’s international academies to cede visibility assets to Spotify, as well as the option to cede their facilities to hold events and master classes on a regular basis.
The day in Miami closed with a ‘clinic’ given by Juliano Belletti, who enjoyed two hours on the pitch with more than 290 boys and girls from the Blaugrana school between the ages of 7 and 16.
