MADRID, 22 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The South African golfer Bryce Easton has become this Friday the new leader of the Mallorca Golf Open, a tournament corresponding to the European Circuit that takes place from Thursday to Sunday at Golf Santa Punsa, while up to three Spaniards: Álvaro Quirós, Sebastián García and Jorge Campillo are tied for second place.
Easton was the best this Friday on the Mallorcan grass, although the day could not be completed due to lack of light. It will be this Saturday when the second round ends, but for the moment the South African is in command with a total of -11, on the second day he stayed at -4 with one hole left to play.
Its advantage is precisely those four impacts, a valuable treasure to face the halfway point of the tournament. Waiting for a possible failure is the trio of Spaniards -especially successful today Sebastián García with -3 on his card- and the Danish Jeff Winther, leader after the opening day.
The day in Mallorca was marked by gusts of wind and suspension with ten golfers left to complete the second round, including leader Easton, who still needs a final hole to make his rental official.
