This Friday, April 12, the journalist Sonsoles Onega He has joined his sister Cristina – she is the most discreet of the family, as she almost never appears at public events – to sponsor a beautiful exhibition by the NGO Aldeas Infantiles that will remain until June 16 in the Plaza de Guatemala in the Parque del Retiro in Madrid. It is called ‘Together because we are brothers’ and is organized in tribute to boys and girls who grow up far from their families in foster care but united, which helps them overcome and digest the traumatic experiences they may have experienced in the past.
The journalist was especially moved to learn the testimony of Tamara and Encarna, two sisters who lost their home when they were only 3 and 6 years old, but whose union was never destroyed. Today they are happy women who have been able to forge a good future.
The journalist and winner of the last Planeta Prize took advantage of the event to tell how close she is to her sister. “He is a constant reference professionally and personally”, he commented before jokingly adding: “I would say that even my boyfriends have to get the approval from Cristina. And let our children’s girlfriends or boyfriends tremble, because Cristina is the one who gives the approval and puts the ok tick.” . Regarding Cristina, who is director of TVE’s 24 Hours Channel, she said that she is the most formal and reflective, while Sonsoles recognized that she is ‘more hooligan’ and ‘reckless and impulsive’.
She recognizes that Cristina balances her a lot in this professional stage she is experiencing and that helps her not to experience the results of her work with euphoria or depression. For this reason, Ónega has something better than her competition, the TardeAR of Ana Rosa, has already managed to surpass her in data, leading three afternoons in a row this week thanks to the information they have offered about the Sancho case.
“I already said it when the season started, that demanding competition makes us all better”he said before joking: “The afternoon adventure is exciting, it’s getting beautiful. But that is the ‘Fair play’ of TV. A diary is very demanding, The slot is very demanding, I am not saying anything that I have not said since I started at Antena 3. And the movements of the competition I insist that are stimulating no matter what happens,” he acknowledged.
Fernando Ónega’s daughter also spoke before the microphones about another of the current hot topics, the signing of Broncano for TVE after the Board of Directors ended up giving the green light to his contract on April 10 after a month of negotiation, four complex meetings and the dismissal of several managers. This is the advice that he laughingly gave to the fact that he will be the greatest competitor of his network partner Pablo Motos: “I have to tell you that a newspaper is very hard, and the competition is very good”. Not in vain, she herself knows what she is talking about.
