Small shareholders reject Del Nido's move

'Accionistas Unidos', the platform that brings together the small shareholders of Seville, has launched an official statement on Tuesday in which it rejects José María del Nido's request to convene an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders to overthrow the current government team that José Castro heads with the help of the foreign investor, the society 'Sevillistas Unidos 2020', which became a shareholder of the club and is represented on the board precisely by the current managers and who now change sides in search of the quota of power that was promised and that they have not had since the top shareholders signed a peace pact in December.

“We reject movements that come to destabilize Sevilla. The top shareholders of an entity are supposed to have the ability to be measured and have common sense to understand that Sevilla FC is above all and that a destabilizing climate should not be created. We do not understand the way of acting of the maximum shareholder of Sevilla FC, who having signed an agreement that gave him the presidency in a matter of three years in exchange for social peace, 9 months later he comes to break the peace because he says that it is necessary to change the board of directors ”, explains 'United Shareholders' in a note.

In addition, they warn that the group that Del Nido now relies on and that entered the club at the hands of Castro and his partners, only seek the business, as they already warned in previous Shareholders' Meetings and were ignored by the managers of the club, as well as their entry into the Girondins de Bordeaux and their disastrous management at the French club: “The foreign investment fund, who for the first time publicly admit that their owner is '777 Partners', state that they come to professionalize the Sevilla FC, which is the same as they have been promising since 2018 without showing that they have done anything, not even attending the General Meetings. In addition, they state that they are a group specialized in investments in sports projects, and as we explained at the last Shareholders' Meeting, the only sports investment of great importance with which they are publicly related is that of the Girondins de Bordeaux which they have left in a dire situation. As we have always maintained since the association, ‘Sevillistas Unidos 2020’ only comes to do business and the interests of Sevilla FC matter little to them ”.

For this reason, this group asks those Sevillistas who have one, two shares or a small package to “group” their titles to defend the interests of the club against speculators, shareholders seeking a subsequent sale and personal enrichment and external investors .
