Rodrygo: “Madrid have to win everything; it is our goal”

Rodrygo faces his second season at Real Madrid with maximum enthusiasm. After the ninth consecutive day of preseason, the Brazilian striker commented in the club's official media about the season ahead. “We are very well, training very well, everything that the coaching staff is asking of us,” said the footballer, who personally looks “very good too; I've come back with great enthusiasm.”

Collectively, Rodrygo is ambitious and places the team as a contender for everything when talking about the objectives for the competition. “I think the usual goals. Madrid has to win everything and that is our goal, win everything,” he said. And he commented on the circumstance of continuing to play games behind closed doors without the support of the fans: “We continue without an audience, without our people, but we are focused and we want to win. We are going to give everything possible to win.”

The 19-year-old from São Paulo played 1,696 minutes last season in his first exercise as a Madrid player. Despite the ups and downs of his player of his age with a huge projection ahead, Rodrygo dazzled with several performances. He scored 124 seconds into his league debut against Osasuna and against Galatasaray he became the youngest player to achieve a 'perfect' hat-trick in the Champions League.
