Rocha assumes the interim presidency of the RFEF and Rubiales will legally defend himself after being suspended by FIFA

The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has received this Saturday the notification with which the FIFA Disciplinary Committee has provisionally suspended the president of the RFEF itself, Luis Rubiales, “while the disciplinary file is being processed” which is still open.

In a brief press release, the RFEF has also indicated that its deputy vice president, Pedro Rocha, “assumes the interim presidency” during the 90-day period of Rubiales’ suspension. And all this, the note specified, “in accordance with the provisions of the RFEF Statutes”.

In the same way, Rubiales has stated through this note that “he will legally defend himself in the competent bodies, he fully trusts the FIFA instances and reiterates that, in this way, he is given the opportunity to begin his defense so that he prevails the truth and prove his complete innocence”.
