Robert Moreno: “The plan was coming out until a specific action by Asensio”

MADRID, 7 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The coach of Granada, Robert Moreno, confessed “some sadness” after the defeat (1-0) against Real Madrid this Sunday, since “the plan” was working out for them at the Santiago Bernabéu until Asensio’s goal 20 minutes away end.

“The feelings are somewhat sad. The plan was coming out, we didn’t score, and in the second half they took a step forward. In a specific action by Marco, who I know him well, that characteristic shot came out of him and we didn’t been able to approach us dangerously,” he said at a press conference.

The coach of the Andalusians lamented a new defeat and, despite good signs and the debut of the reinforcements, explained that it is time to reverse the situation with a victory. “They have all played, they are going to increase our competition, and we are going to hope that they finish adapting better and help us achieve the goal,” he said.

“The feeling of the team is what we all knew and not that of the last two games. In the end we linked three defeats and we are going to try to break that streak next week also in a difficult visit to San Sebastián”, he added.

“The changes were made because defending at the Bernabéu for 90 minutes at the level we were having was not easy. The players were tired of defending so much and Madrid kept up the intensity well,” he concluded.
