Report: The refs who worked the game between the Detroit Lions and the Dallas Cowboys will not be in the playoffs.

With the Dallas Cowboys ahead 20–19 over the Detroit Lions, there was a lot of talk at the end.

It would have been a win for Detroit if they had made the two-point conversion, however it was called right back because tackle blocker Taylor Decker hit the soccer ball in the wrong place.

Official decided that Decker wasn’t saying that he was a qualified receiver before the play, yet video shows the Lions guard talking to referee Brad Evans, which suggests that he did say this before the play.

A lot of people have said bad things about Allen and his team’s work in that game along with this season.

A report via ESPN’s Adam Schefter says that the NFL is taking steps because Allen’s team is likely to be downgraded, which makes them less likely to make the NFL playoffs.

It has been said that the judging team members who made the infamous mistake at the finish of the 20–19 loss by the Dallas Cowboys would be punished.

As reported by Adam Schefter, several of the officials from lead referee Brooks Allen’s team who were involved in the mess on the Saturday have been “downgraded” and likely won’t be in any championship games. On Sunday, he said this on the ESPN’s SportsCenter.

“Basically, I am able to tell you this: they’re in the postseason, it ought being joint staff members, a large part in Brad Allen’s crew won’t participate in officiating, and their duties have been downgraded,” Schefter said.

The Cowboys got the wrong flag for an illegal tripping rule before the controversial endure play of the game in the fourth quarter. Allen has been and NFL judge since 2014.

Some people have stated that the crew botched an unambiguous instance of pass interfering at the final whistle of the Chiefs vs. Packers game in Week 13.

They have also said that they missed other calls during the season. It looks like the NFL is doing things to keep these people from going to any about the major contests this time around.

To take the lead, the Lions team tried to add two consecutive points in 23 seconds left in the game. This is as the infamous call took place.

QB Jared Goff found guard Taylor Decker free in the end zone on the first snap that put the team ahead. It looked good all around.

A flag was raised, though, and Allen said that the Lions were fined for illegal touches because Decker allegedly did not show that he was an eligible target.

Allen stated that offensive player Daniel Skipper assured him he was qualified, which is the same thing Skipper said in the report that the officials made soon after the game.

That being said, Skipper says he has never talked in Allen, and camera footage seems to capture Decker talking in Allen while Skipper ran by.

It appears that Allen could’ve mixed up both offensive tackles. With 23 seconds remaining in the game, the Lions looked to take the lead by scoring two points.

Allen said that bad guard Dan Skipper informed him he was qualified, which matches what Skipper said in the players’ pool message after the game.

But Captain says he never spoke to Allen, or video seems to record Decker talking with Allen while Skipper ran by. Allen may have mistaken Skipper for Decker when he talked to Allen.
