In it, according to the Madrid club’s statement, they admitted their criminal responsibility for the events and asked that “all vestiges of racism and intolerance be banished from the competitions.”
Likewise, those convicted will not be able to attend professional matches in football stadiums for the next two years. However, the sentence is suspended on the condition that they do not commit crimes again for the next three years.
“This is the first conviction for acts of this nature that have been handed down by criminal courts and tribunals,” celebrated Real Madrid, which together with Vinícius and other entities has carried out the private prosecution in this procedure.
