Raúl Fernández confirms that he will not continue at KTM in 2023

MADRID, 29 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish rider Raúl Fernández will not continue the next 2023 season in the KTM structure, in which he has been since 2020, in the MotoGP category of the Motorcycle World Championship, as confirmed by himself on Monday.

“As you may already know, KTM and I parted ways at the end of the season. I am very grateful for all the help they have given me, as they have been part of my racing career since the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, when I started to be part of this family,” Fernández said on his official ‘Twitter’ account.

The 21-year-old driver from Madrid recalled that he has had “beautiful moments and difficult moments” with the Austrian factory. “But above all, years in which I have learned a lot. I just want to say that my heart will always have an orange piece because they have been a very important part of my life.
Thank you KTM”, sentenced.

Raúl Fernández signed for the Austrian brand for the 2020 season, where he competed in Moto3, finishing fourth in the World Championship, and the following year he made the leap to Moto2, where he was runner-up, only surpassed by his teammate, the Australian Remy Gardner, in one campaign in which he achieved eight victories. This good work gave him the confidence of KTM to move him up to MotoGP in his satellite team, where he has not been able to achieve good results and has only scored five points so far.
