The Spanish tennis player Rafa Nadal has decided to launch himself into the world of paddle tennis with the creation of his own tournament, the Rafa Nadal Academy Padel Tour by The Adecco Group, a circuit that aims to “make known the values, methodology and DNA” of his tennis academy, according to a statement issued this Thursday.

The Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar, created in 2016, has already shown its interest in padel with the development of training programs for youth and adults and the organization of numerous padel tournaments, including a World Padel Tour Challenger event.
Recently, Álex Ruiz and Franco Stupaczuk, from the Rafa Nadal Academy team powered by Richard Mille, reached the men’s final of the Hexagon Cup, achieving third position in the general classification. In addition, Gemma Triay and Ruiz have joined NDL PRO-HEALTH as ambassadors, to represent their products in the world of padel.
However, with the creation of his tournament, the tennis player from Manacor enters “fully” into the world of paddle tennis. In its first edition, it will carry out six events in Santander (Club G-6, from June 6 to 9), Madrid (Club La Masó, from June 28 to 30), Valladolid (Club Raqueta Valladolid, from June 5 to 7 July), Málaga (Nac Club de Pádel Nueva Alcántara, from July 12 to 14, Alicante (Club Padelpoint La Nucía, from August 23 to 25), Barcelona (Vallparc, in September), and the season will culminate in Mallorca.
The final test will be held at the Rafa Nadal Academy facilities (Manacor), from October 8 to 13. Each team of the Rafa Nadal Academy Padel Tour by The Adecco Group will be made up of a minimum of six players, who will make up three pairs in each round. In each of the tests it will be guaranteed that each team plays a minimum of two heats.
In addition, in each of the events there will be two men’s categories (Viper, high level, and Veron, medium level) and two women’s categories (Energy, high level, and Stima, medium level), in which the teams will try to be crowned in your city and enter the draw for the place that will allow you to compete in the final test in Mallorca.
At all these events, NDL PRO-HEALTH will have a stand, offer products in the welcome packs and will give away lots to the winners of each tournament, in addition to inspiring energy with its logo from the t-shirts of all participants, the ‘photocall’ and the ‘branding’ of the entire circuit in general.
