MADRID, 17 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –

This Saturday, the Spanish Queralt Castellet achieved a creditable fifth position in the halfpipe snowboard World Cup held in Copper Mountain, Colorado (United States), after suffering a heavy fall in the second round.

The Olympic runner-up could not repeat her 2022 victory in the USA, after a hard blow to the ribs in the second round where she had serious chances of getting on the podium. A new mishap for Castellet, after last week in Secret Garden (China).

The Spanish had entered Copper strong with a second place in the qualifying rounds, only behind the young South Korean Gaon Choi, 15 years old.

Meanwhile, Lucas Eguibar, current World Cup runner-up, remains sixth overall after another eventful Saturday in Cervinia (Italy), where he suffered a collision with another rider and finished 17th.
