The Spanish MotoGP rider Pol Espargaró (Repsol Honda) will not continue participating in the Dutch Grand Prix, the eleventh round of the Motorcycle World Championship that is being held this weekend at the Assen Circuit, due to the injuries suffered a week ago in Sachsenring, and is expected to return after the summer break.

“After Free Practice 2 on Friday, Espargaró was still in intense pain and discomfort. As a result, he feels that he is not capable of competing on a MotoGP bike and, together with the Repsol Honda Team, has chosen to stay out of the race. in Assen”, Repsol Honda confirmed this Saturday.

The man from Granollers suffered a crash in the first free practice sessions of the German Grand Prix that caused him problems with his ribs and lungs, especially when driving. Now he will have to wait until August 7, when the British Grand Prix will be held at Silverstone Circuit.
