The Spanish rider Pedro Acosta (KTM) finished as the fastest in the 'Shakedown' that took place between Thursday and Saturday at the Sepang Circuit (Malaysia) for the MotoGP category and as a prior step to the first preseason test which will already have the entire grid of the 'queen' category of the Motorcycle World Championship.

After the three days of testing on the Malaysian track reserved for some drivers due to the concessions granted by the championship organization, the Austrian brand was the dominant one, taking the top of the time table on all three days, with special mention for the latter. with prominence for the 'rookie'.

Thus, after KTM led on Thursday and Friday with its testers Dani Pedrosa and Pol Espargaró, on this occasion the 'Tiburón de Mazarrón' was the fastest on the Asian track with a time of 1:58.189, just 66 thousandths ahead from Granollers, but already more than two tenths over the Frenchman Johann Zarco (Honda).

The also Frenchman Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha) and Pedrosa completed the 'Top 5', while on the Repsol Honda side, the Spanish Joan Mir finished sixth, just over 300 thousandths behind and almost half a second ahead of his new teammate, the Italian Luca Marini, eighth.

Now, after three days where the teams present in Sepang have focused above all on doing aerodynamics tests, the same track will host the first official MotoGP preseason test next Tuesday.
