Oier renews until 2022

The Osasuna captain's contract, Oier Sanjurjo, expired in June 2021. His status as one of the pillars of the team and his good work has made the rojillo club have announced the extension of his contract until 2022. The youth squad will have a termination clause of 10 million euros.

Oier made his debut with the rojillo first team on December 12, 2007 in a round of 32 match of the Copa del Rey against Mallorca. Since then, the canterano has always played in the ranks of Osasuna, except in the 2011-2012 campaign when he left on loan to Celta, set with which he achieved promotion. Since his return he became a very important piece for the Navarrese team, thanks to his versatility, among other things.

On the other hand, Osasuna has completed the first work session of the week prior to the start of LaLiga. The rojillos will be measured on Saturday at nine o'clock at night in Cádiz in Carranza. The training has had two groups of players. On the one hand, those who started last Saturday in the friendly against Real Sociedad have done recovery work, while the rest of their available teammates have carried out technique and possession exercises and have concluded the session with races. The great novelty of the training has been Juan Cruz, who has joined the dynamics of the group after passing the two CRPs required by the health protocol.

Torró and Cardona have completed the session with the players who did not start at the Reale Arena, Herrando has done so following the process of recovering from his injury and Unai García has done individual work. For its part, Enric Gallego has not exercised due to the trauma to his right leg suffered last Saturday against Real Sociedad. In addition, Darko has not been able to train either due to the shoulder dislocation he suffered on Friday in the friendly match against Eibar.
