Norma Duval’s golden smile: her husband, Matthias Kühn, wins compensation of 96 million euros

Normal Duvalwhich debuts as a jury of dance as you can (TVE) next Monday, March 11, has brought joy, and a big one. The Supreme Court has confirmed the sentence to the Balearic Government to pay 96 million euros to her husband, the German businessman Matthias Kühnfor the declassification of the urban character of some land in the Muleta area of Puerto de Sóller, in Mallorca.

Thus, the third chamber of the high court has endorsed the ruling handed down in January 2022 by the Superior Court of Justice of the Balearic Islands in favor of the real estate developer, considering that the actions of the regional Executive violated its rights by preventing it by law from building in the lands of his property.

“The sentence reviews the very long judicial process of this conflict, which began in 2010 and now ends 14 years later,” says the businessman’s legal team in a statement in which they celebrate the judicial resolution and explain the details of the sentence.

The sentence in favor of the ex-vedette’s husband establishes the payment with public money of 63.5 million euros plus interest accrued since May 2009, when the first claim was filed as a result of Muleta’s inclusion in a law for the protection of Natural spaces. These interests amount to 32.5 million euros.

Already in 2013, a court ruled in favor of the urban character of the land, which was again protected by another autonomous law in 2017, in the third legislature of the left-wing Government. As this rule made it impossible for the Muleta lands to be incorporated into the General Urban Development Plan of Sóller, Kühn claimed this large compensation.
