The crossroads of statements between Boris Becker and Nick Kyrgios continue because of the video of Alexander Zverev in which the German tennis player appears at a party despite promising that he would meet a quarantine of 14 days after participating in the Adria Tour, where Novak Djokovic, Grigor Dimitrov, Borna Coric and Viktor Troicki tested positive for coronavirus, and where Zverev was negative in the various tests that were performed.
For goodness sake Boris, I'm not competing or trying to throw anyone under the bus. It’s a global pandemic and if someone is as idiotic as Alex to do what he has done, I’ll call him out for it. Simple.

Becker harshly criticized Kyrgios after calling Zverev “selfish” after watching his party video, to which the German replied with a 'I do not like rats' in allusion to Kyrgios. The Australian was puzzled by Becker's words. “For God's sake, Boris, I am not competing or trying to throw someone onto the tracks. It is a global pandemic and if someone is as stupid as Alex to do what he has done, you have to tell him. It is simple”
We all live in the pandemic called # Covid_19 ! It’s terrible and it killed to many lives … we should protect our families / loved ones and follow the guidelines but still don’t like #rats @NickKyrgios @farfetch

Rats? For holding someone accountable? Strange way to think of it champion, I'm just looking out for people. WHEN my family and families all over the world have respectfully done the right thing. And you have a goose waving his arms around, imma say something.

Becker continued his attack on Kyrgios. “We live in a pandemic called COVID-19! It is terrible and it has killed many people … We must protect our families and loved ones and follow the regulations, but I still don't like rats.” Something that made Kyrgios raise his tone and defend the attitude he has had during this period of confinement. “Rats? For holding someone accountable? It's a strange way of thinking, champion. I'm just taking care of people. When my family and many families around the world have done the right thing and with respect. And you have a goose waving his arms, so he had to say something. “
@TheBorisBecker is a bigger donut than I thought. Hit can hit a volley, obviously not the sharpest tool in the shed though.
– Nicholas Kyrgios (@NickKyrgios) June 30, 2020
Haha nah bro I’m good, don’t act like you’re my friend now because you got sat down.
– Nicholas Kyrgios (@NickKyrgios) June 30, 2020
Later it would be Kyrgios himself who attacked Becker after his statements. “Becker is a bigger 'donut' than I thought. He can hit a volley but it's obviously not his sharpest tool to get rid of something.”, said the Australian, to which Becker responded with irony. “What a funny boy. How are you in the Down Under (Australia)? Respecting all the rules?”Becker snapped at a Kyrgios who mockingly replied to the German. “Haha, no brother, I'm fine, don't act like you're my friend now so sit down.”
I really would like to se @NickKyrgios fulfill his potential and win a grandslam! He would be an incredible role model for for the youth of the world addressing the issues of equality / race / heritage! Man up buddy and deliver! @atptour @ITF_Tennis
– Boris Becker (@TheBorisBecker) June 30, 2020
Why are you now talking about tennis? It has nothing to do with tennis? How about the dude who you are defending mans up and gives us some sort of explanation? Not another average management apology.
– Nicholas Kyrgios (@NickKyrgios) June 30, 2020
The conversation turned to tennis, with Becker showing his desire to see Kyrgios win a Grand Slam (the German scored 6 during his career). “I really want to see Nick Kyrgios demonstrating his full potential and winning a Grand Slam. It would be quite a source of inspiration for the young people of the world addressing the issues of equality, race and heritage! Prove it!” to which Kyrgios replied that he expected an apology from Zverev for his actions. “Why are we talking about tennis now? Does it have something to do with tennis? How is the guy you're defending and who hasn't given any kind of explanation. I don't want another apology from a manager.”
Standing in a club with his shirt off. Struggling to wrap my head around what good that does for the region ????????♂️
– Nicholas Kyrgios (@NickKyrgios) June 30, 2020
By last Becker echoed the words of Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic on the Adria Tour. “It is my fault, not Novak Djokovic's. He tried to do something good for the entire region,” a message that Becker shared with the comment 'word' and to which Kyrgios replied emphatically. “He was in a shirtless nightclub. My head is trying to understand how good that is for the region.”
