Divisional Round – a Buzzer Beater Drama

The Divisional Round, where eight teams are remaining, is considered one of the football highlights of the year. This year’s version did not disappoint the ones watching. Evan McPherson’s 52-yard field goal, which gave the Bengals a 19-16 win over the Titans, and Robbie Gold’s 45-yard ditto in the 49:ers win over the Packers was just the start of it.

Brady’s Comeback Not Enough

In Tampa, the Rams got ahead by 27-3 and managed to keep that score for a long time. However, with only 42 seconds left on the clock, the Buccaneers tied the game, thanks to a weak Rams defense.

At this point, most thought the game was going to overtime. But no, the Rams had other plans. With only seconds left of the game, Matt Gay scored the 40-yard field goal which knocked the reigning champions out of the playoffs.

Criticized Ending to Dramatic Chiefs Win

With two minutes left on the clock, Bills took the lead. With one minute left, Chiefs got ahead. With 13 seconds left, Bills took the lead again. And at the end of regulation, the champions from 2020 tied it.

In overtime, the Chiefs got to start as an attacking team, and managed to pull off a touchdown. After this, many fans have called for new playoff overtime rules.
