More than 3,000 children enjoy the San Silvestre Vallecana Mini with an official t-shirt

MADRID, 23 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The ninth edition of the Nationale-Nederlanden San Silvestre Vallecana Mini was held this Saturday, at the Vallehermoso Stadium (Madrid), with the participation of more than 3,000 children for an event whose entire proceeds went to the Gasol Foundation, a foundation created by the brothers and basketball players Pau and Marc Gasol.

This traditional children's race, prior to the 2023 Christmas culmination with the 'Sansil' in the absolute category, raised 9,765 euros for this charitable destination. And its participants also ran with their own version of the official t-shirt of the event, from El Corte Inglés and its Boomerang sports brand.

From 10:00 a.m., the little ones invaded the Vallehermoso tartan with their brand new blue t-shirts. They all completed distances adapted to their respective ages, in pursuit of a day of sports prior to Christmas Eve and with the aim of supporting projects to prevent childhood obesity.

This race, little sister of one of the best 10K in the world, was the advance gift to the Gasol Foundation, which will receive the full amount of registrations. Through research, the development of health promotion programs and public awareness, its purpose is to end childhood obesity.

On the other hand, on December 26, the Runner's Fair will open its doors, a place where the 40,000 participants of the absolute 'Sansil' must pick up their runner's kit, with a t-shirt and number. It will be at the Daoiz y Velarde Sports Center, which will also host DJ sessions along with stalls from the different sponsors of the event.
