Miguel Ángel Gómez, new sports director of UD Ibiza

UD Ibiza now has a new sports director. This is Miguel Ángel Gómez, who will replace Fernando Soriano, who was dismissed several weeks ago. The island club announced this Thursday the arrival of Gómez with a contract “for the remainder of the season and two more”, it is explained in an official statement

“Miguel Ángel Gómez will be in charge of directing and designing the new sports project in accordance with the strategic objectives of UD Ibiza”, it adds. In addition, “during the month of June, the sports director will report on the new structure of the club’s sports area, as well as that of its members and functions.”

“Miguel Ángel Gómez will be presented to the media in the near future,” concludes the brief statement. The former sports director of Real Valladolid now takes on a new professional challenge, in an entity that this course has debuted in LaLiga SmartBank. Gómez had sounded strong to replace Soriano and now his arrival at the club chaired by Amadeo Salvo, who has in mind reaching the First Division one day, has been finalized.
