Martín Fiz conquers the Cardiff half marathon in the M60 category

MADRID, 1 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish athlete Martín Fiz won this Sunday in the Cardiff (Wales) half marathon in the Master 60 category, a result that allows him to add his third victory in his challenge to conquer the five ‘SuperHalfs’, a circuit of half marathons .

The Vitorian, world marathon champion in 1995, stopped the time at 1:14:45 and completed the test, beating second place, David Warren, by almost ten minutes, and by more than 12 over third place, Adrian Mason, who completed the podium.

This victory marks the third after the one signed in March in the Lisbon half marathon and the one just 15 days ago in Copenhagen. Now, Fiz will try to prepare to face, in 2024, the final stretch of the challenge, which will end with the tests in Prague -in April- and Valencia -in October-.

Fiz also has in his record, in addition to the 1995 World Cup, the 1994 European marathon title, two Olympic diplomas and triumph in the ‘six majors’ (London, New York, Tokyo, Boston, Berlin and Chicago) of his category.
