The Spanish athletes Marta Pérez and Esther Guerrero achieved this Tuesday, during the 63rd Golden Spike in Ostrava (Czech Republic), the minimum mark established for the 1,500 meters event by the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation (RFEA) ahead of the Olympic Games from Paris (France).

Pérez took eighth position after running on the Mestsky Stadion tartan in 4:03.46 and Guerrero stopped the clock at 4:03.72, finishing ninth in a race won by the Irish Ciara Mageean (4:01.98), escorted by her compatriot Sarah Healy (4:02.12).

The minimum of the RFEA for its possible selection of athletes thinking about the Olympic Games. It is 4:04.50, and in addition both Pérez and Guerrero already had the minimum set at 4:02.50 by the International Athletics Federation (World Athletics) since last year.
