Marc Márquez: “You jump onto the champion bike, it's in your hands”

MADRID, 1 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish MotoGP rider Marc Márquez verbally confirmed the good feelings that were seen when he made contact on November 28 with the Ducati, a “champion motorcycle” that he trusts in understanding and managing to win again after ending his stage with Repsol Honda.

“I was nervous, there were butterflies in my stomach. Even though I had been in the World Championship for many years, it was a big change, but after the first start I became much calmer and more relaxed,” DAZN revealed this Monday in an interview with the driver who collects Europe Press.

After the entry of 2024, the man from Cervera acts as a member of the Ducati team, after already testing his motorcycle in Cheste a month ago but without being able to reveal his impressions yet with the Honda contract. The eight-time world champion recognized a champion motorcycle, also happy with the reception.

“This has allowed me to make the day very relaxed very well, focused on understanding myself with my technician, understanding my bike. You jump to the champion bike, so it is in your hands. It has been a day of adaptation to the positions. The speed was There, I understood how to manage things. I still have a lot to learn to be more constant and safer,” he points out.

“I had been working with a group for 11 years, now it is a new group but the Gresini family has received me very well, everything is very pleasant and this helps me be more relaxed,” he adds.

Márquez did not want to compare the motorcycles but referred to what he already demonstrated with his test in Valencia, among the fastest. “I don't like to compare the bikes, I won't say the differences. It's different, a different riding style. There are many riders who go fast on this bike. I was able to adapt faster than expected, I immediately felt very good, the time came out,” he concludes.
