Marc Márquez, low in the Grand Prix of the Americas

MADRID, 11 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish Repsol Honda rider Marc Márquez will withdraw from the Grand Prix of the Americas, the third round of the MotoGP Motorcycle World Championship that takes place this weekend at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin (United States), to continue his recovery from the injury to his right hand.

“After a final CT scan, Marc Márquez and his medical team, led by Dr. Ignacio Roger de Oña, from the Ruber Internacional Hospital in Madrid, have confirmed that the first metacarpal is still in the healing process. After analyzing it with the Repsol Honda team and HRC, all those involved have chosen to let the injury heal completely and avoid any unnecessary risk,” the Repsol Honda team said in a statement.

In this way, Marc Márquez will continue working on his rehabilitation program at home to return to “in top shape as soon as possible,” the note adds.
