MADRID, 14 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Madrid Ice Palace is ready to host a new edition of the Spanish Synchronized and Figure Skating Championship between this Friday, December 16 and Sunday, December 18, which is hosting this event again 19 years later.
The presentation of the event took place this Wednesday at the ‘Javier Fernández’ ice rink in Plaza de Colón with the participation of the Sports Council delegate, Sofía Miranda, the general secretary of the Royal Spanish Ice Sports Federation (RFEDH), Xavier Cherta, and Madrid skaters Marian Millares and Pablo García.
“2022 could not end in a better way for Madrid sports by hosting this great competition that brings together two of the objectives that we set for ourselves from the Sports Area, promoting minority sports and promoting major sporting events to be benchmarks for national and international sports and show the world that Madrid is synonymous with sport and organization”, celebrated Miranda.
The Sports delegate took advantage of the occasion to invite all the people of Madrid to come to the Ice Palace to “encourage, live and enjoy this impressive competition that promises to be a real spectacle”.
The Iberdrola Spanish Skating Championship 2022-23 will have more than 160 skaters from all over the country, divided into up to 16 categories of different ages and modalities. The great attraction of this edition is to see the new generations that ask for a step shine, led by Tomàs Guarino, Pablo García, Iker Oyarzabal, Marian Millares, Nuria Rodríguez, the couple Eloanne Ogor and Raúl Bermejo, or Celia Garnacho.
These names are joined by other promises that have already been able to debut this season in an ISU Junior Grand Prix such as the duo Carolina Shan Campillo and Miguel Martos, Inés Moudden; Alejandro García, Daniel Rouco or Adrián Jiménez.
