Liñán and Camacho finish thirteenth in the 10m platform and Papworth reaches the semifinals in the 3m springboard

The Spanish jumpers Max Liñán and Carlos Camacho finished this Thursday in thirteenth place in the final of synchronized duets on the 10-meter platform, during the World Swimming Championships being held in Doha (Qatar), and their compatriot María Papworth agreed to the semifinals on the 3-meter springboard.

In a long morning of competition with the 3m springboard preliminary, María Papworth qualified for the semis with the eighteenth and final cut mark (246.10 points), beating the Norwegian Helle Tuxen by one tenth. Meanwhile, the also Spanish Rocío Velázquez failed in the third and fourth jumps, being eliminated (46th, 193.35 points).

During the afternoon session, Max Liñán and Carlos Camacho achieved 332.88 points in the 10m synchronized duets final. The Chinese pair formed by Junjie Lian and Hao Yang won gold with 470.76 points, the British Thomas Daley and Noah Williams won silver with 422.37 points and the Ukrainians took bronze with 406.47 points.
