Osasuna vibrates to win again
The Argentine forward of Osasuna Ezequiel “Chimy” Avila suffers a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament of the left knee which will be intervened in the coming days.
The player, who left El Sadar on a stretcher on Friday during the Osasuna-Levante match, has been tested this morning at the University of Navarra Clinic to determine the exact extent of the injury that forced him to replace him.
As reported by the club on its website, an MRI has been performed that has confirmed the initial suspicion, after the explorations at the foot of the field, of a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament of the left knee without meniscal involvement or other structures ligamentous, which means that both the internal and external lateral ligament are preserved.
And he adds that Chimy Ávila will begin the rehabilitation process this week and the surgery will be scheduled as soon as possible within the next few days.
Osasuna also thanks the Sports Medicine area, especially the Department of Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology and the Radiology Department, for their effort to carry out the test immediately and on weekends.
“Today begins a very important process for me, very hard, but one more obstacle that puts my life. Thank you all for the support and affection, I will come back stronger than ever!” Instagram
The Navarrese club stays for the remainder of the season without its best player, who until the match against Levante has scored 9 goals in LaLiga Santander and 2 in Copa del Rey and has become one of the revelations of the championship.
