New appointment on the queen’s official agenda, an event for which she has sought out a luxury companion: her daughter Sofía. Casa Real announced this Wednesday that the Queen and the Infanta will attend the final of the Women’s Soccer World Cup, which will take place next Sunday in Sydney, Australia, to support the Spanish National Team first-hand.
Precisely the queen visited the National Team on June 27 at the Ciudad del Fútbol de Las Rozas (Madrid), which, at that time, was preparing its participation in this World Cup in Australia and New Zealand. Casa Real’s congratulations to the national team after their victory in the semifinals this Sunday was one of the first to arrive: “One step away from taking us to the top.”
For her part, the Infanta Sofía is a great fan of soccer, a sport she has practiced. This same year, she accompanied her father in the Cup final held at the La Cartuja stadium in Seville, in which Real Madrid beat Osasuna. Along with her sister, Princess Leonor, who will begin her military training tomorrow in Zaragoza, she also attended a match of the Spanish National Team against Denmark in the European Championship held last year in England.
