The Kings Felipe VI y Joyaccompanied by the President of the Principality of Asturias, Adrian Barbónhave presided over the award ceremony for the Exemplary People of Asturias Award to Cadavedo in the absence of Leonor. In the speech read by her mother, Leonor highlighted how traditions combined with a sustainable economy are preserved in Cadavéu. A situation that has led the parish to increase services and diversify “until achieving something as difficult in rural areas as the school is still very much alive and, each time, with more students enrolled.” Thus, she was grateful for the welcome and for being able to discover “the generous spirit that is in the hearts of Asturians”.
