Leonor and Sofia go for summer colours and the same nude lipstick tone

Leonor’s appointment in Girona always begins the day before. The awards show their full force with a previous stop, a visit with cultural content, whether it be the Dalí Museum, elBulli, with Ferrán Adrià or Jaume Plensa’s workshop. The Princess of Asturias and Girona and her sister Sofía visited the sculptor’s space in Sant Feliú de Llobregat, Barcelona, yesterday Tuesday. This morning, Wednesday 10 July, the daughters of the King and Queen travelled to Girona. Not to Girona capital, but to Lloret de Mar. There we saw the first image of this day of awards: the heiress and her sister at a meeting with young participants in the programmes of the Princess of Girona Foundation, which took place in the bucolic gardens of Santa Clotilde del Paseo Jardins. It will be in this town on the Costa Brava, facing the Mediterranean, where the ceremony for the presentation of the Princess of Girona Awards will be held this afternoon.

This edition of the awards that bear her name is special for two reasons. It is the first time that the heiress has presented the awards when she is of legal age and she does so at the 15th anniversary ceremony. For this first image of the day, Leonor and Sofia have coordinated with fresh, summery colours. A Klein blue dress for the Infanta, who has chosen a mini cut, fitted at the waist; and a more work-oriented look for the Princess, based on super basic white trousers with a T-shirt top and mint green blazer. A green-blue coordination of the sisters that is in keeping with the Mediterranean landscape of the Costa Brava, where they were photographed.

As a detail, the lipstick. Sofia and Leonor wear an identical shade, in nude, which makes up that natural image. A trend this year less is more which is very common in summer: that is, less makeup and more naturalness.

Afterwards, the daughters of the King and Queen are scheduled to participate in a meeting with the members of the Young Advisory Council of the Princess of Girona Foundation (FPdGi). It will be an intense morning of activities with Artificial Intelligence as one of the star contents, with the presentation of the study Professional impact of AI on young peopleorganised by Deloitte; and the launch of the foundation’s scholarships. These two events will take place at the Meliá Lloret Hotel in the Girona town.
