LaLiga and SportBoost seek disruptive technological solutions with the second edition of Meet LaLiga EA Sports

LaLiga and SportBoost announced this Monday the launch of the second edition of ‘Meet LaLiga EA Sports’, the innovation program aimed at startups from around the world, which seeks to capture disruptive technological solutions to break the barriers between the physical and the digital , in addition to generating new experiences that strengthen engagement with current and future fans.

The call, which will be available until August 19, is also open to immersive training solutions for grassroots football, which allow for improvements in the physical and mental well-being of young talents. The only requirement to present the proposal is to have, at least, a minimum viable product. The winning idea will receive a financial contribution of 10,000 euros to promote their project.

The jury, made up of experts from SportBoost and LaLiga, will carry out an “exhaustive analysis of the applications submitted until September 30.” Subsequently, the selected candidates will be contacted to participate in the final event of the ‘Meet LaLiga EA Sports’ program, an event in which the finalists “will present their solutions to a jury of experts from the sports ecosystem”, as well as key actors in the venture, They will announce the winner right there.

This program, which premiered last year, is aimed at startups from around the world, seeking to capture technological solutions that operate under generative artificial intelligence (AI) models, which will help optimize productivity processes at an individual and collective level, and solutions based on AI that could improve the sports industry.

In total, more than 110 startups entered the contest last year, from 27 different countries. Of them, four initiatives were winners and were able to show their projects to those attending the Meet LaLiga event.

The alliance between LaLiga and SportBoost, a company founded by former soccer player Iker Casillas, has been in place for more than two years. During this time, both have developed numerous projects with the aim of promoting innovation, technology and entrepreneurship in the world of sports.
