MADRID, 6 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Panini Spain and LaLiga presented this Tuesday the official collection of LaLiga Santander 2022-23 trading cards, which celebrates its 51st anniversary, the option to complete the LaLiga SmartBank card digitally and the novelty of the ‘DNA LaLiga-Men Goal’ series with the 28 great scorers of the competition.

This was announced by the general director and CEO of the Panini Spain group, Lluís Torrent, and the president of LaLiga, Javier Tebas, in an act at the headquarters of the club association and in which they were accompanied by the players Radamel Falcao, from the Rayo Vallecano, and Cales Aleñá, from Getafe.

“This year, Panini’s joy at the launch of a new collection is greater than ever. Reaching 51 uninterrupted years of the LaLiga sticker collection is a fact that fills us with pride and drives us to continue presenting great moments of satisfaction with our LaLiga cards”, said Torrent.

The collection is available throughout the national territory from the start of the 2022-23 championship and, like every year, it is updated in different editions that run parallel to the transfer market. All collectors and football fans will be able to assemble a collection of close to 600 trading cards at the end of the season. This collection will be fully updated and with special stickers made of metallic materials.

In addition, like every year, collectors will have the opportunity to win numerous gifts for free, including the Puma ball for LaLiga Santander 2022-23 through the ‘Supergolazo’ promotion.

Lluís Torrent highlighted that this collection has green as the background color in homage to the ‘mat’, the grass, in which “the best League in the world” is played and to “hope”, after the years of economic and health crisis due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Furthermore, he noted that 30 percent of collectors are “over 30 years old.”

For Javier Tebas, “being able to present Panini’s official LaLiga Santander trading card collection for the 51st consecutive year is synonymous with the success, sacrifice and passion with which this joint project is developed.” “It is impossible to understand the history of LaLiga without having the Panini collection in mind”, he pointed out.

NEW SERIES “DNA LALIA-GOAL MEN”

This 2022-23 season, the collection comes with a novelty such as the possibility of collecting a new series of stickers known as ‘ADN LaLiga-Goal Men’, which includes 28 stickers of the greatest scorers in the history of the competition.

In addition, with the ‘MyPanini Digital Collection’ initiative, it will be possible to complete the only virtual collection of LaLiga Santander 2022-23, which will be collected online together with LaLiga SmartBank. And users who complete the collection will be able to have the physical album by requesting it through Panini’s online service.

Carles Aleñá highlighted the change in the game of his former team, FC Barcelona, with Xavi Hernández as coach and that he had “great teachers like Luis Enrique and Guardiola”, as well as the fact that Robert Lewandowski “has been at the highest level for more than 12 years”. “Tchouaméni is going to be the future of Real Madrid and he will mark an era”, he pointed out.

For his part, Falcao expressed his confidence in “taking flight” with Rayo and that it is “spectacular” that Lewandowski has come to LaLiga. “He is a born finisher and has fought for the Ballon d’Or,” said the striker for the red-and-red team.
