Valencia Basket-Perfumerías Avenida and Spar Girona-Kutxabank Araski are the semifinals of the Women’s Basketball Super Cup, which will be played on October 8 and 9 at the Mendizorrotza Pavilion in Vitoria Gasteiz, according to the draw held this Monday at the Museum of Spanish Federation (FEB).
The director of FEB Competitions, Elisa Aguilar, thanked the “commitment” that institutions such as the City Council and the Vitoria Provincial Council have made to be able to host an “event of a great sporting level”. “From the Federation we are convinced that the stands of Mendizorrotza are going to be full to enjoy a great competition”, she added.
The mayor of Vitoria, Gorka Urtaran, said that “it is a pleasure and an honor” for the city to host a new edition of the LF Endesa Super Cup, in a city that has “great experience” in organizing this type of event . “We will receive four great teams and their wonderful fans in a city that is clearly committed to equal sports,” he said.
The semifinals and the final can be followed live on the thematic channel Teledeporte. The competition will start on Saturday, October 8 with the first semifinal, Valencia Basket-Perfumerías Avenida, from 6:00 p.m. The final will be played on Sunday 9, from 8:00 p.m.
