Jesús Vallejo, positive in Granada

The Pomegranate adds one more loss a few hours before facing the third day in the group stage of the Europa League. Jesús Vallejo must be in quarantine for at least ten days after testing positive for Covid-19 after tests carried out before playing this Thursday in European competition.

That will prevent him from traveling to Nicosia (Cyprus) this Wednesday to play the match against Omonia. Two members of Diego Martínez's coaching staff have also tested positive, and they will not be able to travel with the rest of the expedition either.

After detecting these positives, all the players and the members of the coaching staff underwent rapid tests, which ruled out more infections, although other PCR tests were also carried out and they are waiting to know the results before traveling to Cyprus.

The training session that was scheduled for the morning at the Ciudad Deportiva was suspended and moved to the afternoon in Los Cármenes to continue with the preparation of this Thursday's match against Omonia. For that duel Foulquier, Quini, Azeez, Víctor Díaz and Neyder Lozano will continue to leave due to injury. They are joined by Vallejo and Soldado, who are confined by testing positive for Covid-19. Neither Fede Vico can be summoned, since he was not registered for the Europa League.
