Jémez: “We have tried to transmit the heat of the people from within”

Paco Jémez, Rayo Vallecano coach, was happy for the victory against Albacete in the first match after three months without competing and assured that to face the duel they tried to “transmit the warmth of the people from within”.

Rayo beat Albacete with a goal in the 61st minute of Peru's Luis Advíncula, who scored with a left-footed shot from the front of the area to the right-hand squad.

“The rhythm of the game has surprised me for good. I liked it. What has caught my attention is playing without people, it is what is most lacking, the support and that noise,” said Jémez at a press conference.

“Today you went out into the field thinking that everything you say is heard, but then you forget. We have to get used to that too. Now we have to be careful with the reproaches. We have to transmit support,” he said.

In this first match after three months without playing, Jémez acknowledged that “each piece was in a different place and the job was to put it in its place.”

“On Sunday we have to put one more pair and complete the puzzle. We have tried to transmit the heat of the people from within because it was a very tense game, even when we were ahead. A mistake condemned us, there was no time to solve it, and We have come out with a good result, with which everything is good, “he said.

One of the highlights of this duel was the presence of central Alejandro Catena as center forward.

“I anticipated a match in which Albacete would close and it occurred to me to put Catena on top. We needed stature and he has done extremely well,” he concluded.
