Little noise and a lot of Seville

LaLiga returned with a Seville derby that, again this season, fell on the Seville side. Ocampos, doubts until the last minute, became the protagonist in a match in which those of Lopetegui did not give their opponents options since the beginning of it.

The surprises began as soon as the line-ups were known. At Sevilla, as expected, Ocampos arrived on time, but what almost nobody imagined is that Banega stayed on the bench. At Betis, meanwhile, rumors of the physical problems dragging Edgar, William Carvalho and Joaquín were confirmed when it was made official that none of the three would start in the starting eleven.

The first half had a clear Seville color. The best example is that Betis did not count a shot in Vaclik's goal in the 47 minutes that the first act lasted. Sevilla, meanwhile, did not take long to warn. If Ocampos had discomfort they were not noticed in the least when after 10 minutes he released a whiplash that crashed into Joel Robles' squad. The Argentine opened and closed the chances of the first half, since the last play of the same was a counter that ended with a distant shot of his that Joel repelled. Koundé and De Jong also had the opportunity to open the scoring in their heads, but their shots went very narrowly.

The Betis, meanwhile, shorted in the center of the field and could not find the ways for Tello and Fekir to find the spaces behind Navas and Reguilón. On the contrary, since the Sevilla side joined the attack easily and did not suffer too much in defense. Sevilla went to the locker room regretting their lack of aim. Betis, on the other hand, was breathing.

But the only change that was going to be in the second half is that Sevilla would find the way to the goal. The scoreboard opened with controversy, as the Betis players vehemently protested the penalty pointed to Bartra by elbowing De Jong. Mateu Lahoz did not hesitate in the least and Ocampos transformed the maximum penalty by deceiving Joel. The Argentine left the break scoring and returned in the same way.

Punishment against Betis was to increase only six minutes later. Another strategy move by Sevilla, ball that reaches the area, Ocampos's masterful heel and auction without opposition by Fernando. Sevilla scared away their ghosts and Betis did not know very well how it was two goals below on the scoreboard with half an hour to go.

They tried to shorten Rubi's distance but between the powder of their attackers being wet and that Sevilla felt comfortable defending, the marker did not move. Sevilla took their second derby of the season and tied the third position. Betis, meanwhile, practically says goodbye to their remote European options.
