MADRID, 10 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Tunisian tennis player Ons Jabeur and the German Tatjana Maria were the winners this Sunday in the WTA tournaments in Charleston (United States) and Bogotá, beating the Swiss Belinda Bencic and the American Peyton Stearns, respectively.

Jabeur, dominant on clay in the last three years, signed a 7-6 (6), 6-4 to dethrone a Bencic who aspired to defend the title at the WTA 500 event. The number five in the world thus launched her 2023 record and lifted the fourth title of his career.

Meanwhile, Maria did manage to repeat the title in the Colombian capital, her third conquest with Mallorca in 2018, at the expense (6-3, 2-6, 6-4) of a Stearns who was playing her first WTA final at the category 250 on land in Bogotá.
