The Spanish midfielder Francisco Alarcón 'Isco' renewed his contract with Real Betis this Thursday for three seasons, until the end of the 2026-2027 season, which would end his relationship with the green and white entity at the age of 35, as announced by the club in its social networks.

The one from Arroyo de la Miel has become a fundamental pillar in the scheme of Chilean coach Manuel Pellegrini. The playmaker has participated so far this year in a total of 23 games in the League and Europa League, adding 3 goals and 4 assists.

An influential performance that led the Betis sports management, headed by Ramón Planes, to extend Isco's contract, which ended in June 2024, trusting in the 'magic' of the Malaga native in the long term. And the midfielder will continue to make the fans of the Sevillian team enjoy until 2027, so he would end his relationship with the club at the age of 35.

This agreement puts an end to weeks of negotiations between the player and the entity, although there was always good harmony, according to the player himself. “I hope I can be here for many years, there is good communion with the club and my desire is to be here,” said the Spanish playmaker on December 13, highlighting the “very good climate and ecosystem” to continue in the green and white discipline. “If it were for money, I probably wouldn't have come here, it's secondary,” he confessed on his day.
