Ibra will sign this Monday with Milan

The agreement had been reached at the beginning of this month of July but it will be this Monday when Zlatan Ibrahimovic signs the new contract that will join him to Milan until June 2023 and possibly on Tuesday when it is officially announced by the red and black club.

The Swedish star, who will turn 41 in October, will receive, according to Fabrizio Romano (market specialist journalist) between one million and 1.5 million euros of fixed salary, more variables depending on what your performance is.

Ibra will not be able to play again, in the best of cases, until the end of the year or the beginning of 2023since on May 25 he underwent surgery on the anterior cruciate ligament of his left knee.

Due to this long period of sick leave, Ibra decided to lower his salary to the minimum, but the former Barcelona player’s income will increase depending on, when he can finally reappear, the games he plays and his performance. For Stefano Pioli, Milan coach, Ibra has a very important role in the dressing room and he wants to continue counting on him.

Ibra began his second stage at Milan in 2020 (after 2010-12, first on loan from Barcelona and then owned) and was key this past season in the red and black team achieving its first ‘scudetto’ since 2010-11. Thus, as a Milan player, the former Barça player has won the Serie A twice and the Italian Super Cup once.
