“I think Salah will renew, Klopp brings out the best in him”

Mohamed Salah is the sensation and the unknown at the same time this season at Liverpool. The Egyptian is once again the leader of a red team that is the only one that can withstand City’s level, as he showed with the 2-2 draw at the Etihad Stadium. Klopp’s team continues to fight for the Premier League and also for the Champions League.

In Merseyside they enjoy the excellent season of ‘El Faraón’ with 28 goals and eleven assists so far this season. Now, every now and then it is marked by the rumor of a possible exit and the lack of signing a new contract that replaces the current commitment that ends in 2023.

After Barcelona appeared as an option and even Real Madrid, both now far away from a possible signing, CArragher, legend of the red club, urged Salah to renew and compared his situation with that experienced by Fernando Torres when he changed Liverpool for Chelsea in 2011 after a ‘blue’ payment of 58.5 million euros.

“I don’t think Liverpool should raise their offer at the moment, but I think Salah should be sensitive to this issue.. He and his representative must understand the situation they have at Liverpool. He is going to continue to have an impressive contract, but look at the football he is playing now with one of the best coaches in the world in one of the best teams in the world”, assured the English centre-back on Sky Sports, recalling that he lives in the best context to succeed of his career and that Liverpool will make an effort to make an economic improvement.

In his argument, he also took the opportunity to highlight the role of the club and the German coach in his growth as a footballer. “I think he will renew, it is the best place for him. Salah did not come to Liverpool as a superstar, he became a superstar here and I think Jürgen Klopp and the way he plays brings out the best in him. I don’t think it would be dangerous for him to leave. Really not. But I think the best thing for both and for the club would be to sign,” he explained, highlighting the reciprocity in the relationship and how Salah and Liverpool form the best marriage possible.

To finish illustrating his possible future if he decides to leave, it was where ‘Carra’ put his former teammate and now coach at the Atlético de Madrid academy, Fernando Torres. “What he has done in recent years makes him one of the best players to ever wear a Liverpool shirt and I think it would be sad if he left, perhaps to a rival in the same country. I think it would throw away his legacy at Liverpool. . If you look at what happened to Torres when he went to Chelsea… I don’t think it was good for his career. Where could he be better than at Liverpool right now? I think nowhere,” he said.

After an ‘express’ recovery to become World Champion with Spain in 2010, Fernando Torres experienced a more complicated phase of his career. After years of success standing out at Atlético de Madrid and becoming a world star at Liverpool, The man from Madrid was hampered in 09/10 by those knee problems that made him fear the worst for the World Cup.

In his departure to Chelsea, Torres was important, but he did not reach the star role shown in Liverpool. The Spaniard left goals for the memory of blue and won a Champions League, a Europa League and an FA Cup. After a loan and transfer to Milan that was not too fruitful, Torres returned to Atlético de Madrid where he also left memorable goals in this second stage such as those scored in the Cup at the Bernabéu and won his only title with the rojiblancos: the Europa League 17/18. After a brief stint in Japan (Sagan Tosu), the man from Fuenlabrada went on to train in the red and white quarry. He is now in charge of the athletic under-19 team that he has qualified for the semifinals of the Youth League, the ‘Champions League’ of the youth category.
