Huertas, Laprovittola, Musa, Moneke and Shermadini, best quintet in the Endesa League

Marcelinho Huertas (Lenovo Tenerife), Nico Laprovittola (Barça), Dzanan Musa (Río Breogán), Chima Moneke (BAXI Manresa) and Giorgi Shermadini (Lenovo Tenerife) make up the best quintet of the 2021-22 Endesa League, revealed this Sunday, chosen by fans, media, players and coaches.

Huertas, about to turn 39, is the point guard of this quintet, the director of the game most voted by the press, players and coaches (4th for the fans). The Brazilian returns to the best quintet in which he was already in 2007-08, 2010-11 and 2020-21.

The Lenovo Tenerife point guard did not miss a single one of the 34 games of the course, in which he averaged a PIR of 14.3 (12th in the Endesa League), standing out especially in assists (6.3), a ranking in which he was second , and 12.6 points per citation (18th).

Meanwhile, Laprovittola, who was already in the best quintet of 2017/18 when he was the MVP of the season with Joventut, is once again among the best in his first season at Barça. The Argentine was second in the position of the point guards in the vote of coaches, players and the media, while he was fourth most voted by the fans.

Without missing a game either, ‘Lapro’ was the third best player in the Endesa League in +/- (+6), with 9.5 points, 2.6 assists and a PIR of 9.2 per game, in those who bordered on perfection from the personal line (93.2%).

The safe spot was Dzanan Musa, MVP of the season and unanimously king of the forwards, the most voted for coaches, players, fans and the press. The player from Río Breogán led the scoring statistics (20.1) and PIR (23.1).

Also in his first season in the Endesa League, the impact of Chima Moneke (BAXI Manresa) was clear and for this reason he has been voted the second best center in the League, taking the highest score from the press and players, 2nd for the fans and 3rd for technicians.

In addition, the Georgian center of Lenovo Tenerife, Giorgi Shermadini, repeats for the third consecutive year in the best quintet, to which must be added the presence of the 2016-17. Shermadini, second in the MVP vote and in PIR and 2 shots, was voted best center by coaches and fans, in addition to taking the second highest score for media and players.

The ACB also announced its second best quintet of the 2021/22 Liga Endesa season, made up of Shannon Evans (Coosur Real Betis), Isaiah Taylor (UCAM Murcia), Joe Thomasson (BAXI Manresa), Nikola Mirotic (Barça) and Walter Tavares (Real Madrid).
